This is the prop nitrous tank I use in my show. It's
illegal to carry compressed gases on a plane, so mine is limited to local
performances.
When you book my show, it is your responsibility to acquire one for
me. Without the tank, I can't do the show.
Don't worry, I've done shows at schools in remote, rural locations
and they've provided tanks without difficulty. Most of you can acquire
one
through your building maintenance or corporation yard welding unit. Tell
them you need to borrow one 150 cubic foot (AIB) Compressed Breathing Air
cylinder filled to at least 1,500 pounds pressure (2,000 lbs is
max). Assure them that it will not be used around any open flame. They
may
want you
to take it on a tank dolly, that's fine for me. If they can't provide one,
call your local welding company and ask them to loan one to you. If they
have any questions, send them to this page or print it for them.
(My prop designer made me a fabric sleeve so I no longer need to paint the tank, as shown in this photo.) |
